Easy steps to create a cosier bedroom
We’re all spending more time at home and for many that might mean spending more time in the bedroom. Whether that’s due to having time for a lie in every day, or if you’ve had to transform a corner into a make shift office, you can’t deny the majority of us are at home more than we used to be.
Here are our top tips on making your bedroom extra comfy. Who needs a space to work from home when you can work from bed instead?

Lighting is key in creating a comfortable mood. Bright white lights can feel quite clinical and cold but they’re needed a lot of the time. However, why not add a warm toned lamp into your room so you have the choice of what kind of light you’d like to use. Fairy lights are also a nice added lighting touch, perfect for some late night ambiance.
- Colour Schemes
Darker colours bring about a feeling of cosiness and warmth, similar to a cocooning feeling. If you don’t want to completely overhaul your bedroom, then why not just update it with some accessories insteads? New bedding, pillows, rugs are easy to change whenever you feel like it.
- Fabric Layering
Your bed is one of the most important parts of the bedroom and adding lots of layers and textures to your bedding is an easy way to add some comfort to your room. You can start off with your simple cotton bedding, then add fleecy blankets, velvet or satin pillows and big wooly knitted jumbo covers. For extra warmth, why not splurge out on an electric blanket?
